Lightbulb Mesmers Inc.

Oki Ive started up in the Mesmer Class and Im wubbing it !

I would like to see some changes to the Mesmer skillz -

About Inspiration skillz becoming Inspiring ??

Skillz that reduce (fire/ice/earth/lightning) damage to the whole party rather than just the mesmer - we're supposed to be inspiring arent we? Cant we use the powers of our minds to persuade our fellow team mates that those meteors falling from the skies, sub zero temperatures and flesh rendering storms dont really hurt as much as all that?

Illusion skills (oki got zick of the ..z'ing) Why cant we create illusions ? Like make clones to draw off the enemy like the valkerie clones in D2. Cant you imagine it. Create an illusion over the ridge, watch the hordes go charging away after it and you can make a clean get away. Hell put the cloen up in front of you and let it tank some whilst you send backfire and degen at the hordes... Illusion skills should be able to change the AI of the enemy and make the hordes fight amoungst themselves (its just a hex so normal hex removal skills apply to counter) (Can you imagine that in PvP ? All of a sudden everything points to a mate as being an enemy? You takes on the skin of one of the opposing team, his cape changes colour and no one can communicate with him and the auto targeting lets you target him - lol)

Anyway as you can see these arent all that thought out and Im sure some smart alec will come along to pick and worry a bone - but I think that this could be fun. Number crunch your way through it to protect All Mighty Balancos the God - but this might work.

Mesmers being actors, artists, intellectuals and BDSM practitioners (lol domination) I'm surprised that such attention grabbing people dont effect their team mates that much. So here are some skills I thought up and an interpretation of yours:

Illusion should be mostly like inspiration but for the enemy party:

Illusion of Infantry
Illusion Magic
10eng 2sec 20rech
Enchantment Spell. Create a copy of your self at your location for 3... 5 seconds. This copy will look exactly like you and do the exact same motions in the same direction and will also have the same stance as you. When this enchantment ends your copy dies. If the copy is "disenchanted" the copy dies.

Defiantly great for confusing people and diverting dmg.

Disarm
Illusion
10eng 1/2sec 30rech
Target foe and all nearby foes attacks and attack skills do no physical damage for 3.. 5 seconds.

This can really help save someone form a tight spot.

Inspiration is like illusion but for allies:

Mantra of <insert element here>
25eng 10rech
All allies within earshot take 10... 25% less damage from <insert element here> and gain 1 energy per hit.

Rapture
1sec 5rech
Give target ally 1 energy from your energy pool. For each time you use this skill on the same ally, that ally gains 1 more energy and you lose 5... 1 more energy.

Mes battery LFG.

I like the copy creation I also like the inspiring suggestions, because currently that's the most useless attribute for mesmers imho!

On a side note domination magic should also feature some dominating. Perhaps a mind control (pve only skill) where you can control the enemy mob for a few seconds or a move like binding chains where you literally force the enemies mind into a stupor.

Inspiration should be energy loss/gain, damage reducing, support skills
Domination should be direct mind control, muscle spasms and the current punishing for actions (ineptitude should be a domination skill)
Fast casting should feature more time warping skills (half recharge, half casting, double hex durations, double condition duration. You get it)
Illusion should be fake doubles, ai altering things or graphics altering things. Say in PvP a foes screen would go fuzzy like they were completely drunk.
Also things like forcing you to switch target, make you think a foe is dead.

I was thinking of a thing like you said for illusion(the thing you mentioned with the fuzzy screen).

Ammesia syndrome[elite]

energy:25
cast time:3
recharge time:30

for 2...10 target foe and one other adjacent to your target are hexed with ammesia.foes hexed with ammesia see all of their enemies as an NPC(probably something like an ascalon warrior) and see thier classes as ??/?? and their skills are only shown as monster skill.

It would b great to let them 'disguise' as enemies.

They select the enemy, they turn into it for a while, and cal walk amongst the enemi ranks.

Elemental weapons ftw? I think you meant "Deal no damage in combat."

Oops lol. Yeah, the idea was that warriors, rangers, assassins, certain paragons and dervishes care rendered useless for, an albeit very short, time. Its enough for your monk(s) to save you.

It's like Blackout, just far more powerful.
Especially the 'all nearby foes' bit.

My mesmer is easily my best PvE character and I have 1 of each class..
They are overpowered if anything, learn how to use skills in a strategic order.
